Bayashi

Rock, 2005

Bayashi is an exiting free jazz trio ,and their first album "Help is on its way" came out in 2003 on the Swedish label Ayler records. Their new album "Rock"on Jazzaway Records, released January 2005. The music was recorded live in Oslo in the spring of 2004 and was bassist Bjørnar Andresens last live perfomance. "Rock" is an exiting and beutiful album that captures the true spirit of free jazz.

Bayashi is: Legendary bassist Bjørnar Andresen (who passed away in 2004). He is also featured on Jazzmob's "Pathfinder", and on "Crimetime Orchestra featuring Bjørnar Andresen"; Saxophonist Vidar Johansen who is also playing on "Crimetime Orchestra featuring Bjørnar Andresen"; and Thomas Strønen on drums. Other releases with Thomas: Trinity "Sparkling" (Jazzaway, October 2004).
