Two Way Street, 2005

Roundtrip is the name of an exciting trio featuring the very talented alto/baritone saxophonist Klaus Holm. His main influences are Eric Dolphy/Sonny Simmons.

The group also features bassist Ole Morten Vågan and drummer Ole Thomas Kolberg. Two musicians who are much in demand on the Norwegian jazz scene.

Roundtrip has existed for 3 years under the name "Megatsunami". After the tragic event in 2004, they felt that this name is no longer a good name, so "Roundtrip" arrived, and their debut album is now out on Jazzaway Records.

The album is called Two Way Street and it features compositions by band leader Klaus Holm. His playing is vibrant and exciting. Vågans bass and Kolbergs drums give strong support troughout on this very good debut album. Klaus Holm is definetly an excellent composer of tunes with substance.
